166,402 Candidates Await Outcome as Minister Janet Museveni Presides Over Event
When is UNEB releasing 2025 UACE results?
The Uganda National Examinations Board (UNEB) will tomorrow, Friday, March 13, 2026, officially release the 2025 Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) examination results at 11:00 a.m. at State House Nakasero.
The First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports, Ms Janet Museveni, will preside over the release ceremony. UNEB officials briefed her on Wednesday afternoon at State Lodge Nakasero, paving the way for the national event.
UNEB Spokesperson Ms Jeniffer Kalule confirmed the date and venue, stating: “We briefed the Minister today, Wednesday, and the release will take place this Friday.”
A total of 166,402 candidates registered and sat for the 2025 UACE examinations nationwide — a 14.6% increase from the previous year. Of these, 93,630 (56%) were males and 77,772 (44%) were females.
The results will determine university placements, bursaries, and career paths for thousands of Senior Six leavers across Uganda.
How to check 2025 UACE Results
Results will be available immediately after the official release through the following official UNEB channels:
1. SMS (Fastest and Most Accessible Method – No Internet Required)
- Open your phone’s messaging app.
- Type: UACE [space] your full index number (example: UACE U0000/001)
- Send to 6600 (works on MTN and Airtel networks).
- You will receive your full results slip instantly. Charges apply as per your network provider.
2. Online Portal
- Visit the official UNEB website (uneb.ac.ug) or the dedicated results portal.
- Enter your index number to view and download your results.
- School heads and examination centre coordinators can also log into their dedicated portals for full school reports and statistics.
Important Advice from UNEB
Heads of UACE examination centres must clear all outstanding invoices with UNEB before the release. Results for schools with unpaid dues will not be released. UNEB has reminded all centres via its official X account (@UNEB_UG): “Please ensure that you clear all outstanding invoices with UNEB before the release of the 2025 UACE Results.”
The event is expected to be broadcast live on major radio and television stations, as well as UNEB’s YouTube channel and social media platforms.
