On September 28, 2023, South Sudanese entrepreneur Atong Amos received another award. She vowed to continue branding South Sudan as a destination of peace and tourism. This was at the prestigious African Outstanding Professionals Awards (AFROPA). The remarkable achievement took place during the 2nd edition of the event. It was organized by The Business Executive Media Group, and held at The Concord Hotel & Suites in Nairobi, Kenya. Atong Amos stood out among her peers, earning recognition for her dedication and contributions to various sectors.

As a successful entrepreneur, Atong is the Founder and CEO of Gold Orchid Events Management Ltd. She also started Triple-A Group, where she has made significant strides in Real Estate, Hospitality, ICT and energy, and Oil and gas.

Beyond her professional roles, Atong has been involved in community engagement, philanthropy, research, and consultancy, emphasizing the importance of education and women’s empowerment.
