Who is Aayah Raheem Mohammed?
A model affiliated with Kampala Kids Club, Aayah has achieved significant milestones in her career. She has earned prestigious titles such as Wildlife Queen 2022-2023 and, notably, Toto Miss Universe, where she represented Uganda in 2023-2024. According to Aayah, this was a conscious effort to inspire young children with diverse talents.
How did Aayah join the Miss Universe Uganda Competition?
Aayah successfully became a part of the Miss Universe competition in 2023. “My mother is in touch with the CEO of Miss Universe Uganda,” Aayah reveals, “So, that’s how I managed to become a part of the competition.” This opportunity opened doors for Aayah to showcase her talent on a grand stage, allowing her to make a meaningful impact. Aayah adds, “I won Toto Miss Universe because I wanted to inspire other little children out there who have different talents.” Her commitment to empowering the youth through her success is evident in her purposeful approach to the competition.

Why did you choose fashion as a career?
When asked about her choice of a career in fashion modeling, Aayah expressed, “I chose fashion because it’s my passion, and I love modeling, plus inspiring other children out there with different talents.” Her dedication to using her platform for inspiration sets her apart, making her a role model for aspiring young talents.
Is it all about luck or hard work?
Navigating the modeling industry while being part of the middle class has been a testament to Aayah’s resilience. With the support of her mother and the positive environment around her, she manages to strike a balance between her modeling career and personal life. Despite her success, Aayah remains humble and acknowledges the absence of significant challenges in her modeling journey. She attributes this smooth ride to the protective shield provided by her mother and the support she receives from everyone around her.
What is the goal of all this effort?
Looking ahead, Aayah envisions a future where she models for renowned international brands such as Dior, H&M, Gucci, Prada, Zara, Chanel, and Balenciaga, among others. Her ambitions extend beyond borders, with a desire to win more crowns both in Uganda and on the international stage.
