The Ministry of Education and Sports has officially confirmed the release date for the Primary Leaving Examinations (PLE) results for 2023. According to an internal memo dated January 17, 2024, signed by Irene Kauffman, the senior private secretary to the First Lady and Minister of Education and Sports Janet Museveni, a briefing on the results is scheduled for Wednesday, January 24, at State House Nakasero. The official release of the results is set to take place on Thursday, January 25, at the same venue.
UNEB Results Checking Methods
Candidates, parents, and stakeholders can check the UNEB results for PLE, Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE), and Uganda Advanced Certificate of Education (UACE) for the 2024/2025 academic year through SMS or online.
1. How To Check PLE Results via SMS:
- Go to the ‘Message’ menu on your mobile phone.
- Type PLE [leave space] INDEX NUMBER and send to 6600. For example, to check for PLE candidate 000012/003, type PLE 000012/003 and send it to 6600.
- You will receive an SMS with the results. Please note that this service is charged UGX 500 per SMS.
2. How To Check UCE Results via SMS:
- For S4 UNEB UCE Results, go to messages on your phone and type UCE [leave space] INDEX NUMBER. For example, UCE U0001/001, and send it to 6600. This service is also charged UGX 500 per SMS.
3. How To Check UACE Results via SMS:
- For S6 UNEB UACE Results, go to messages on your phone and type UACE [leave space] INDEX NUMBER. For example, UACE U0001 and send it to 6600. The charge for this service is UGX 500 per SMS.
4. How to check UNEB Results Online:
- Using an internet browser, go to UNEB eReg Portal.
- In the form, enter the candidate’s Index Number and click SEARCH.
- A page with the Candidate’s results will load. This service is free, and you only need internet access.
