Brain sensors! Something you’ve heard of before? Or not?

Brain sensors

What do brain sensors do?

Okay, take yourself 10 years ago in school, and you have several assignments. Same time, you probably have other house chores to execute and you feel like your brains are about to explode.

Yeah, we’ve all been there before! Sometimes, our mind gets so cluttered that we actually feel offended.

But what if you were told that you can easily prevent this from ever happening again? More ridiculously, I promise you, this can be done by just wearing a headband for just 3 minutes. This headband will allow you to be “yourself” within those 3 minutes for the rest of the day. But before we go so sophisticated, let’s discuss how the brain works.

How does the brain work?

Approximately 100 billion neurons, nerve cells live in your brain and they allow you to react to signals.

The brain receives an electrical signal, which causes an action potential within neurons. The action potential moves across neurons through a synapse, which generates an electrical field that is detectable by sensors on the scalp.

How Brain Sensors Work?

You’re all caught up! Brain sensors detect the electrical field caused by the neurons. They eventually use this to understand whether you are focused or not.

Brain sensors

Brain sensors are designed to help you focus throughout the day on something you want. This development is enabled by a special science known as Electroencephalography technology.

Electroencephalography technology measures the difference in electrical field that is produced by neurotransmission in real time. This technology was discovered in 1924, by German philanthropist, Hans Berger.

Brain sensing technology first became accessible to the general public in 2014. Ever since then, it has been used to create powerful equipment especially in gaming. It has also started being applied in health.

Recently, Mark Zuckerberg unraveled the MetaVerse which will work with Virtual Reality. We shall be able to communicate entirely using our brains without meeting.

This could be the future of brain chipping, or just turning ourselves into human robots. For now, we have to wait and watch how it unfolds.
