When was Acholihood Founded?

Acholihood Films & Production, rooted in a childhood dream, officially began in 2016. The idea originated in 2009 from watching Kung Fu legends like Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee, as well as Hollywood stars. It was formally registered as AcholiHood Production (U) Limited in 2019.

Who Founded Acholihood?

The company was founded by Sunday Okello, also known as Neo Okello. His passion for filmmaking inspired him to create a platform for young creatives. The mission is to empower Northern Uganda’s youth through videography and photography training, offering employment and high-quality visual content.

Acholihood’s vision is to create a thriving community of young creatives in Northern Uganda. They aim to transform local storytelling by equipping these individuals with cutting-edge technology and opportunities. The goal is to build a self-sustaining ecosystem where young talents can tell their own stories authentically.

What Services are Offered at Acholihood?

Acholihood offers a wide range of services, including videography for music videos, events, documentaries, and commercials. They also provide various photography services, from studio and event photography to landscape and documentary shoots. Training in both videography and photography is also available.

What sets Acholihood apart is their use of state-of-the-art equipment operated by skilled young professionals. They can cover multiple events simultaneously and offer custom pricing to ensure the best value. Acholihood is also launching an Android app for digital booking, a first in the region.

During production, they focus on capturing high-quality footage, sound, and performances. They address any issues that arise and review daily footage to maintain high standards. In post-production, they edit, design sound, add visual effects, and conduct final reviews to polish the project.
