What to Expect from the PLE 2024 Briefing

During the meeting, UNEB is expected to present a comprehensive analysis of the 2024 PLE performance, highlighting key statistics such as performance trends, gender comparisons, regional disparities, and any challenges encountered during the examination process. The report will also shed light on areas of improvement and policy recommendations to enhance the quality of primary education in Uganda.

How to Check PLE 2024 Results

Once officially released, candidates will be able to check their results via the following methods:

  1. SMS Service: Students can send their index number to the UNEB shortcode 6600 to receive instant results.
  2. UNEB Online Portal: The official UNEB website will provide access to the full results once they are published.
  3. School Distribution: Hard copies of the results will be sent to respective schools for candidates to collect.

Implications for Secondary School Admissions

The release of PLE results marks a critical milestone in Uganda’s education calendar, as it paves the way for the selection and placement of students into secondary schools under the Universal Secondary Education (USE) program. Schools will soon begin the admission process based on the grading system set by UNEB.

Key Highlights from Previous PLE 2024 Results

In previous years, UNEB reported improvements in literacy and numeracy levels, though challenges such as examination malpractices and regional disparities remained a concern. Authorities have assured the public of a transparent and credible process for the 2024 results.

Government’s Commitment to Education

The government of Uganda continues to invest in the education sector by implementing various reforms aimed at improving the quality and accessibility of education nationwide. The release of the PLE results is expected to reflect the impact of these efforts.
