The Yeri Women’s Day Tournament held its fourth edition on March 8, 2025 International Women’s Day. Hosted at King George Stadium in Tororo, the tournament primarily focuses on netball and football, providing a platform for women and girls to showcase their talents while celebrating their achievements. The event also aims to raise awareness of important issues affecting their lives.

The tournament is sponsored by Tororo Municipality Member of Parliament, Hon. Yeri Apollo Ofwono. This year’s edition featured participants from primary and secondary schools, as well as market women, each competing in their respective categories. Due to the large number of matches, the preliminary games were played on March 2, 2025, allowing only the semi-finals and finals to be played on Women’s Day.
