From a young talent mixing beats in the backrooms to a full-fledged business owner with a professional studio and his own music label, Daba’s journey is nothing short of inspiring. In under three years, he’s not only built a thriving brand — Daba Beats — but has also crafted hits that are shaping Uganda’s modern soundscape.

His track record reads like a playlist of East Africa’s freshest anthems. Daba has produced standout songs such as Babali Fik Gaza, Bikutaby Fik Gaza, Sapata by Jowy Landa, and Habibi by Fik Gaza.

His skills also shine on Murder, a hard-hitting collaboration featuring Alien Skin and Fik Gaza, and the international banger Banana, where Fik Gaza joins forces with global dancehall star Konshens and Jose Chameleone.

Not to mention Sanyu Sanyu, a major project that brings together the legendary Jose Chameleone and Fik Gaza . As a songwriter, Daba’s pen game is just as sharp. Tracks like Dear Alvin for Kizz and Namwandu by Nato Boss showcase his ability to blend emotion with melody, giving each song a heartbeat of its own.

His first big move? Teaming up with Sama Soja on Mr. Policeman, a project initiated in 2019 and finally unveiled to the public in 2022 — proof that patience and vision are essential in his craft.

Yet, it hasn’t all been smooth. Daba points out a persistent challenge in the industry: artists often withholding fair digital revenue shares from producers and engineers. Despite these hurdles, Daba stays focused on growth, innovation, and building a stronger creative community.

Today, Daba isn’t just making music; he’s building an empire. Owning his own studio, running a label Attention Records , and producing back-to-back hits, he stands as a testament to what hard work, talent, and hustle can achieve in Uganda’s vibrant music scene.

As he looks to the future, Daba promises even bigger moves. New sounds. New collaborations. New heights. One thing’s for sure — wherever the next Ugandan anthem is born, Daba Beats won’t be far behind.
