USSSA National Boys Football Match Day Two kicked off on Wednesday, 7th May 2025, with a speech from Mr. Mugisha Justus, the President of USSSA (Uganda Secondary Schools Sports Association). He addressed participants and officials on matters concerning eligibility. He emphasized the association’s commitment to tackling cheating, identity fraud, and ensuring compliance with competition regulations.

Due to the President’s speech in the morning, the early kickoff originally scheduled for 9:00 AM was delayed and commenced around 10:40 AM. One of the matches on Pitch One featured Rubongi Army SS from Tororo, making their debut in the competition since the school’s founding in 2004, against Jinja Comprehensive. Rubongi Army SS conceded within the first minute, which unsettled the young team. The experienced Jinja Comprehensive side capitalized on this and secured a commanding 5–0 victory.

Highest Scoring Game of the Day: Buddo SS vs Chemwania HS

This match was played in the evening on Pitch One at Ngora High School. Buddo SS dominated the first half, going into the break with a 5–1lead. During halftime, spectators jokingly predicted Buddo SS might even reach ten goals—remarks that drew laughter due to their seemingly exaggerated nature.

However, just five minutes into the second half, Buddo SS had already added two more goals, making the previously humorous predictions suddenly realistic. Chemwania HS continued to play with spirit, but their determination could not match the pace and hunger of Buddo SS. One standout performer was Buddo’s full-back wearing jersey number 2, whom many spectators hailed as national team material. The final score stood at an emphatic 13–1 in favor of Buddo SS. The result has fueled belief among fans that Buddo SS could be serious contenders for this year’s championship final.
