When did Natasha Nyonyozi win among Beauty With a Purpose at Miss World 2025?

The 72nd edition of the Miss World Festival is turning heads in Hyderabad, India—and among the dazzling displays of gowns, smiles, and global sisterhood, one story stands out with moving residence. Today, 26 May 2025, Uganda’s Natasha Nyonyozi has emerged as one of the winners of the Beauty With a Purpose (BWAP) award, a cornerstone of the Miss World competition, celebrating her humanitarian advocacy in autism awareness and social inclusion.

In a pageant known for its blend of beauty, intelligence, and altruism, Nyonyozi’s win is a proud moment for Uganda and a strong statement on the global stage.

A Crown of Compassion

Nyonyozi, who has captivated audiences with her poise and purpose, is being recognized for her project The Nyonyozi Initiative, which champions autism awareness in Uganda. Her mission is deeply personal and socially impactful, seeking to break stigmas, educate communities, and support families affected by autism.

In a competition where over 100 national representatives present their BWAP projects—initiatives aimed at improving lives through community-based development, education, and health programs—being named one of the winners is no small feat.

“I’m honored to be recognized for something so close to my heart,” Nyonyozi shared through the Miss World Organization. “This project is a tribute to every Ugandan child with autism who deserves understanding, respect, and inclusion.”

The Event of Elegance

Hosted in the vibrant city of Hyderabad, India, the 72nd Miss World Festival officially began on February 18, 2025, and is culminating with the Grand Finale on May 31, 2025, at the state-of-the-art HITEX Exhibition Center.

From heritage walks at the Qutub Shahi Tombs to high-fashion moments at the Top Model segment, the event is a cultural and charitable spectacle. Contestants have participated in various sub-competitions including:

  • Top Model
  • Head to Head Challenge
  • Talent Competition
  • Sports & Fitness
  • Multimedia Award
  • Beauty With a Purpose

Each segment plays a role in evaluating not just the outward charisma of the contestants, but the substance and service they represent.

A Global Sisterhood

Joining Nyonyozi as fellow regional BWAP winners are:

  • Valeria Pérez (Puerto Rico) – Representing the Americas & Caribbean
  • Millie-Mae Adams (Wales) – Representing Europe
  • Monica Kezia Sembiring (Indonesia) – Representing Asia & Oceania

These women are leading voices in causes ranging from environmental protection to healthcare access and education for underserved populations.

The Road to the Crown

With her BWAP win, Nyonyozi has secured a coveted spot among the Top 10 finalists. She stands a strong chance of taking home the global crown during the grand coronation night, where reigning Miss World Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic will pass on her title to a new queen.

This year’s competition, streamed and followed by millions across the globe, places a heightened emphasis on social responsibility and impact. It’s no longer just about the crown—it’s about what you do with it.

Uganda on the World Map

Natasha Nyonyozi’s presence at Miss World 2025 has already placed Uganda in the global spotlight. She is not just representing a nation but also voicing the stories of families and children who often go unheard.

Her advocacy, her elegance, and her resilience are symbols of what modern pageantry is all about—beauty that dares to serve.

The Countdown to the Crown

As the world eagerly awaits the crowning moment on May 31, fans and followers can tune into the Miss World social platforms and global broadcasting partners. Will Natasha bring the Miss World crown to Uganda? Whether or not she does, she has already won hearts—and changed lives.
