When was the Grand Finale of Miss World 2025?

The grand finale of the 72nd Miss World pageant was held in Hyderabad, India, drawing global attention as 108 delegates from across the world on 31st May 2025 converged for one of the most prestigious beauty competitions. When the final moment came, the crown was placed upon the head of Opal Suchata Chuangsri of Thailand, who now becomes the first Thai woman to win Miss World — a historic moment for Thailand and the global pageant community.

From her teenage years, Opal has been passionate about social service. She has volunteered for several grassroots programs focused on children’s education and women’s empowerment. Her strong belief in diplomacy and equality has guided her pageant career, and her message resonates with the Miss World ethos of “Beauty with a Purpose.” With grace, eloquence, and a sincere heart, Opal’s win is more than symbolic — it’s a statement that beauty and intelligence walk hand-in-hand.

The Grand Finale: 72nd Miss World in Hyderabad

The grand finale of Miss World 2025 was held at the HITEX Exhibition Centre in Hyderabad, turning the city into the epicenter of global attention. The show was co-hosted by Stephanie Del Valle, Miss World 2016, and renowned Indian presenter Sachiin Kumbhar. From dazzling evening gowns to thought-provoking speeches, the night celebrated not just physical beauty, but also social impact and cultural pride.

Opal was crowned by Miss World 2024 Krystyna Pyszková of the Czech Republic, amid loud cheers and standing ovations. Other finalists brought equal brilliance to the stage.

Uganda’s Natasha Nyonyozi: A Queen of Hearts

Although she did not place in the Top 8, Natasha Nyonyozi, Uganda’s representative to Miss World 2025, made an unforgettable impression on both judges and audiences.

A Personal Journey of Purpose

Natasha hails from Kyonyo, Kamuganguzi in Kabale District, a serene region in Uganda’s western highlands. She was crowned Miss Uganda 2024/25 on August 3, 2024, during a highly competitive national pageant held at the Sheraton Kampala Hotel. With a background in Accounting and Finance from Coventry University in England, Natasha brought a blend of academic brilliance and emotional intelligence to the world stage.

At Miss Uganda, she was not only a contestant but also a leader — elected as President of the Miss Uganda Class of 2024/25, a sign of her natural charisma and influence. Natasha was instrumental in organizing events such as the Talent Night, where she also served as host, and she demonstrated exceptional performance in sports and public speaking.

A Passion for Advocacy

Natasha’s heart lies with children who have special needs, especially those with autism. Having grown up in a society where stigma often overshadows support, she made it her mission to advocate for inclusion, support services, and awareness. Through her platform, she reached countless families and inspired dialogue on a national scale.

In addition to advocacy, she is also a business owner — running a beauty parlor called Girl Hive at The Cube in Kisementi, Kampala. The enterprise empowers young women to be economically independent, and Natasha uses the platform to mentor and uplift others.

Controversy: Miss England’s Withdrawal Sparks Debate

The event was not without its controversies. Miss England, Milla Magee, made headlines after withdrawing from the competition, accusing organizers of exploiting contestants to “entertain rich sponsors.” The Miss World Organization responded with evidence contradicting her claims, suggesting she had participated happily and professionally until her sudden exit.

This incident sparked debates around contestant welfare and the responsibilities of both organizers and national directors, but it did not overshadow the larger celebration of culture and advocacy that defined this year’s pageant.

A New Era for Miss World

Opal Suchata Chuangsri’s victory ushers in a new era — where beauty, intelligence, empathy, and purpose are no longer separate qualities but harmonized elements of leadership. Her reign begins not just with a crown, but with the hopes of millions, especially young girls in Thailand and across the world, who now see themselves reflected in her journey.

Simultaneously, women like Uganda’s Natasha Nyonyozi continue to shift paradigms — showing that even off the podium, one can wear a crown of purpose, resilience, and leadership.
