The Uganda Police Force is inviting applications from suitably qualified Ugandan citizens to join the force as Probationary Police Constable Drivers. A total of 434 vacancies are available in this recruitment exercise.
Key Responsibilities:
Successful applicants for the vacancies of Probationary Police Constable Drivers will be expected to:
- Maintain police vehicles in good working condition.
- Safely transport personnel and supplies.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by their supervisors.
Minimum Requirements to Apply:
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
- Be a Ugandan citizen with a valid National ID bearing the correct name.
- Have no criminal record.
- Possess a Uganda Certificate of Education (UCE) or its equivalent.
- Hold a valid driving permit.
- Be physically and medically fit to serve
- Be willing to undertake the 12-month basic police training.

Application Process:
Interested candidates should prepare a written application addressed to the Inspector General of Police (IGP).
Each application must be accompanied by the following:
- A photocopy of the UCE certificate.
- A photocopy of the National ID.
- A copy of a valid driving permit.
- Three recent passport-size photographs.
- Recommendation letters from the LC I, LC III, and RDC of their respective district of residence.
All documents should be submitted in a file folder and delivered to the nearest police district or divisional headquarters no later than 4th July 2025.
