When is Brave Girls Festival 2025?
Kampala, Uganda – Excitement is building for the Brave Girls Festival 2025, as organizers at Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU) merge this celebrated event with their new GN TRYBE initiative. Set for October 11, 2025, at the Kati Kati Grounds from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., the festival will unfold under the theme “Young, Bold, Connected: Reimagining Our Potential.” With preparations underway as of Tuesday, August 12, 2025, at 5:17 p.m. EAT, the event promises to be a vibrant milestone following its recent media launch.

What is the Brave Girls Festival 2025 all about?
Now in its 8th year since its inception in 2018, the Brave Girls Festival has grown into a vital platform for empowering girls and young women in Uganda. Initially launched to address challenges like gender-based violence, limited education, and health access, the festival has evolved into a national movement. It fosters mentorship, leadership, and open dialogue on critical issues, including the surge in teenage pregnancies during the COVID-19 lockdown. By celebrating achievements in sexual and reproductive health rights and bringing together policymakers, youth leaders, and stakeholders, the event has become a beacon of hope, especially as it aligns with upcoming elections to elevate women’s issues in national discourse.
This year’s innovation lies in its integration with GN TRYBE, a dynamic movement launched by RAHU in May 2025. Targeting Gen Z and Gen Alpha, GN TRYBE positions young people as proactive change-makers, creating peer-led safe spaces in schools to discuss health, rights, and talent development. By blending GN TRYBE with the festival, RAHU is ushering in a “new wave” of empowerment, amplifying diverse voices and encouraging girls to lead and innovate in a connected world.
What do we expect?
The festival will feature music, art, and inspirational stories, offering a space for confidence-building and networking. With activities already extending to districts like Nebbi, it aims to inspire lasting change across Uganda. Supporting this vision is a robust lineup of sponsors, including RAHU’s own SAUTI Plus media hub, which promotes youth health content, and NTV Uganda, a key broadcaster for social causes.
Corporate backers like Mukwano Family Soap, a household name, and Aquafina, known for wellness initiatives, join Bell Lager, a cultural festival supporter, and Absa Bank Uganda, which champions financial inclusion for women and youth. The Humphrey Nabimanya Foundation, linked to RAHU’s founder, and creative hubs like MoTIV add depth, alongside Miss Uganda, which promotes confidence, and other local brands like SAINTS.
As organization continues, the Brave Girls Festival 2025 invites all to celebrate and support Uganda’s young women, proving that when they are bold and connected, their potential is limitless.
