This location is in the Samia Bugwe Central Archdeaconry. The participation fee is set at a very affordable 15,000 Ugandan Shillings. This ensures that all youths can attend.

The 2024 conference was a monumental success, held at Papoli Primary School. It took place from December 10th to 15th, 2024. The theme was from Romans 12:2, focusing on spiritual transformation. A total of 1,121 youths registered for the event, with total attendance estimated at 1,600.
Youths attended from all districts within Bukedi Diocese. These included Tororo, Busia, Butaleja, Budaka, Butebo, Kibuku, and Pallisa. They represented 15 Archdeaconries and 122 parishes. This showed the wide reach and unifying power of the annual conference.

The Bishop’s Hour and Commissioning Duirng the 2024 Conference
The conference peak was the Bishop’s Hour on Saturday evening. Bishop Samuel George Bogere Egesa arrived to a heroic welcome. After hearing a memorandum from the youth leaders, the Bishop delivered important announcements. He hinted at the future division of Bukedi Diocese into three regions.

The Bishop also expressed a desire for greater youth participation. He was dismayed that some Archdeaconries brought fewer than fifty youths. He urged improvements for 2025. Significantly, he announced Samia Bugwe Central as the next host archdeaconry.

The Bishop’s sermon centered on characteristics of a transformed life. These included faith, humility, maturity, perseverance, and love. He concluded by commissioning all youths. He sent them out to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ in their communities.
