Meta’s multibillion-dollar brand, WhatsApp known and used by billions of individuals and businesses worldwide is finally adding reactions to their messaging app. WhatsApp is a free, multiplatform messaging app that lets you make video and voice calls, send text messages, and more — all with just a Wi-Fi connection. The new “reactions” feature will allow users to express their thoughts about a message without necessarily replying to it. If you’re familiar with Facebook, you probably are used to Facebook reactions. Reactions easily let you know the mood a post has set without necessarily reading its caption or comments. Facebook, which is directly associated with WhatsApp already added the reactions to their Facebook messenger and seems to be enjoyed by many of their users.

WHATSAPP REACTIONS FINALLY HERE
WHATSAPP REACTION FEATURES WILL BE SIMILAR TO THOSE ON FACEBOOK

It’s expected that adding this amazing option to Whatsapp would completely change the history of messaging in the world. This is because one gets to know the humor degree of a text without investing so much time in it. It is also a wonderful feature because it might help people express their opinion without necessarily using emoji or real words.

WHAT REACTIONS WILL WHATSAPP ADD?

WhatsApp update will allow users to react to a chat with a range of emojis, such as a thumbs up, heart, laughing face, crying face, shocked face, and prayer emoji.

The leading chat app has been working on this feature for some time, with proof of this in-the-works functionality first emerging last summer.

And now the WhatsApp super sleuths at WABetaInfo have discovered that the reactions feature is getting rolled out in an imminent beta release, ahead of a full launch for iOS and Android that could be happening soon.

WABetaInfo added that – like with chats – emoji reactions will be protected by end-to-end encryption.

The company’s news portal recently posted: “WhatsApp is readying message reactions (secured by end-to-end encryption) in a new upcoming update of WhatsApp beta for Android and iOS.”

WHEN WILL THE REACTION FEATURE BE AVAILABLE?

The platform has not directly announced the date for the feature to be available, but it is definitely getting rolled out in an update. So the best you can do is keep your WhatsApp app updated if you’re really excited about it. Otherwise, you can be sure to receive the feature anytime from now!

HOW TO USE WHATSAPP REACTION FEATURE?

The reaction feature will allow users to tap and hold the message that they want to react to and then drag their fingers to the appropriate emoji. As per screenshots shared as part of a report by WABetaInfo, message reactions would be visible just below the texts available on the app.

In 2021, we saw Meta adding making a number of changes including changing their name from Facebook and introducing dark mode in WhatsApp plus a number of several other small tweaks. This year, we saw the introduction of disappearing messages which I fully explain in this article. According to Zuckerberg, Meta is entirely focused on the Metaverse and the virtual reality technology which is anticipated to take over the internet age.

What are you most excited about the future of the metaverse and Whatsapp? Share your opinions below with us.
