Victor Ruz ,real name Wajja Victor yesterday Monday 28th March 2022 enrolled at Victoria University Kampala for the March intake that closes March 31st.
The University that prides itself in caring for “Who you are, what you want, where you’ll go, and how you can impact your community, country and the world are yours to discover.” Officially enrolled the popular Musician and Songwriter.
Finally Victor Ruz goes back to School…
“I’m back to school not only as a student but also as a brand ambassador Victoria University.” Partly reads his Facebook post. The 21 year old singer however did not reveal the course that he is to offer at Victoria University reports Campusbee .
This comes as a big relief especially to Victor’s Mother and family .The latter have been wondering what next for him after breaking into the limelight. Uganda has a history of popular Musicians who either stopped schooling or just didn’t seem into the idea .The idea of proceeding to higher institution of learning.

On April 4th 2021 ,All Africa reported that the singer, Jose Chameleon whose real name is Joseph Mayanja, had by then recently posted a photo of himself outside Cavendish University in the country’s capital Kampala.The Photo was captioned with an emoji of books. After over Two decades of ruling the music world in Uganda and East Africa, Chameleon decided to continue with further studies.
In addition, John Blaq another super talented Musician from Jinja had between 2010-12 joined Bweyogerere Secondary School, where he attained both a UCE and a UACE certificate in 2016 and 2018, respectively.However,it is alleged that the Singer had put a halt on education in order to focus on his music.
Sheebah Karungi,one of the most famous and successful female musicians in Uganda and East Africa completed her basic education at Kawempe Muslim Primary School, she dropped out of school in senior two when she was a student of Midland High School, Kawempe. Musicians are influential people worldwide.
A call to all Artists/ Musicians….
A great section of the society especially the youths madly follow them without question ,its therefore imperative that these Musicians set a good example knowing that they are role models to the rest. This us not about pointing fingers to anyone but just a call to all Artists and people in positions of influence to set a good example like Victor Ruz.
