This article explores Mr. Osuna’s remarkable career, his significant contributions, and his reflections on the changing landscape of education.

Mr. Osuna Peter Otieng commenced his teaching journey in 1989 at Nabumali High School, Mbale. However, his quest for enriching young minds led him to several institutions, including Kisoko High School and Atiri Secondary School. Yet, it was his extended tenure at St. Peter’s College Tororo, spanning approximately 15 years, that laid the foundation for his enduring legacy.

Upon his retirement, Mr. Osuna expressed gratitude to the government of President Yoweri Museveni for the positive changes in the teaching profession over the years. He acknowledged that teachers now receive better compensation compared to when he started, with his first payment being a humble 4,300 shillings.

As he looks forward to the next chapter of his life, Mr. Osuna voiced his aspirations, hoping to live to at least 95 years. He attributed his longevity and success to God’s blessings and encouraged fellow teachers not to regret their chosen profession.
