Who is Alpha Raymond?

Today, let’s go on a ride to Shiloh Junior School where we meet a young (currently 9-year-old) boy named Alpha Raymond Milton Olinga. The little cherub is a young Ugandan singer who claims to get his songs directly from the Angels of God. Born on October 13, 2014, Alpha hails from the Olinga family as the fourth of six children. Under the loving guidance of his parents, Mr. Olinga Milton and Ms. Birungi Mary, Alpha has discovered a divine calling that sets him apart from his peers. Subscribe to his YouTube channel.

Raymond told me that it’s the angels that teach him to sing Hebrew. He has never studied music or language, he just knows those concepts. He says he communes with his friends, the angels and that’s how he attains the talent of doing Gospel music.

When did Alpha Raymond gain a love for music?

From a tender age, Alpha demonstrated an affinity for music, often seen singing and dancing with a joy that seemed almost supernatural. This innate passion for music blossomed into a focused pursuit of gospel singing, driven by an unwavering faith. “The Lord led me to start singing gospel songs,” he reflects, attributing his musical journey to divine intervention rather than human influence.

What’s his daily life like?

Alpha’s daily routine intertwines seamlessly with his devotion to music. Despite his young age, he finds time to practice and worship through every aspect of his day. “I worship while doing chores, my homework, and in everything I do,” he says, illustrating how his life and faith are deeply interconnected. His favorite artists include Paul Wilber and Ntaate, and he holds a special place in his heart for songs like “Brag About God” and “You’re the True Almighty God.”

How did Alpha Raymond learn to sing?

Remarkably, Alpha’s talent is nurtured without formal human training. Instead, he believes his musical education comes directly from a higher power. “The Lord teaches me new songs,” he says, a statement that highlights his profound faith and the spiritual depth of his music.

Though Alpha has not yet performed publicly, his most memorable experience remains deeply personal and touching. He recalls a moment when he preached while his mother interpreted, a testament to the powerful bond between his family and his faith. This event, though not a performance in the traditional sense, underscores the essence of his musical journey—sharing his devotion and spreading the message of faith.

So, how does Alpha Raymond lend school with his talent?

Balancing school and music is a challenge for any young talent, but Alpha manages it with grace. Attending Shiloh Junior School as a P.5 student, he benefits from an environment that fosters talent alongside academics. His mother plays a crucial role in this balancing act, ensuring he is home on weekends to nurture his gift while keeping up with his studies.

Alpha’s aspirations are as lofty as his spirit. He dreams of becoming a great worshiper and a powerful man of God, goals that resonate deeply with his current path. His singing is more than just a hobby; it’s a mission, a calling that brings him unparalleled joy and a sense of elevation. “I feel as if I am above the moon,” he says when describing how singing makes him feel.

Toughest moment of his life

One of the most poignant moments in Alpha’s journey involved a near-tragic incident with his mother. After recording a song titled “Yesu Asinga,” his mother suffered a stroke that nearly claimed her life. “She had helped me make the song, and she was going to die before listening to it,” Alpha recalls, highlighting the emotional and spiritual significance of their bond through music.
