The 2024 African Nations Championship (CHAN 2024), rescheduled to August 2–30, 2025, is the 8th edition of the biennial football tournament organized by the Confederation of African Football (CAF), exclusively featuring players from domestic leagues. It marks the first time the tournament is co-hosted by three nations: Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, serving as a rehearsal for the 2027 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON). The event was postponed from February 2025 due to infrastructure delays and additional qualifying rounds following withdrawals by Algeria, Egypt, Libya, Tunisia, and Gabon.
Confirmed Stadiums To Host CHAN 2024
The tournament will be hosted across five stadiums in four cities:

Uganda

Ticket Fees in Uganda Ahead of CHAN 2024
Uganda’s Local Organising Committee (LOC) has set affordable ticket prices for matches at Mandela National Stadium (Namboole) to encourage high attendance, following CAF’s directive for accessible pricing across all host nations. The pricing structure is as follows:
- Ordinary/Tier 1: UGX 10,000 (approximately USD 2.79 or Ksh 357)
- VIP/Tier 2: UGX 30,000 (approximately USD 8.36 or Ksh 1,071)
- VVIP/Tier 3: UGX 50,000 (approximately USD 13.94 or Ksh 1,785)
- In Uganda, each ticket will grant access to two matches, unlike in Kenya and Tanzania. Notably, Uganda’s ticket prices are more affordable compared to Kenya, where fans pay Ksh 200 for ordinary seats, Ksh 500 for VIP, and Ksh 1,000 for VVIP per match.
Tickets are valid for a single match and are sold exclusively online through platforms like CAFonline.com. The low prices reflect Uganda’s push for inclusivity, aiming to fill Namboole Stadium and create a vibrant atmosphere. Dennis Mugimba, LOC Communications Chairperson, emphasized that the tournament is about national pride, not profit, with revenue expected from hospitality and accommodation taxes rather than ticket sales.
