How was Fast Movers Inc. Started?
Dante Junior, as he is fondly called, founded Fast Movers with a clear mission: to address the challenges people face when relocating or managing household tasks in a busy world. “Nothing gives me good energy, nothing brings more life to me than offering a service that is worthy of appreciation by everyone,” Dante said. His inspiration came from recognizing a gap in the market for reliable relocation and cleaning services. “People are so busy looking out for money, and they cannot stress much about such,” he explained. “I knew I would offer a service that everyone would like because this was the missing piece in our community.”
The spark for Fast Movers came from a chance encounter with Dante’s first client, a man he referred to as “Tiger Man,” who had been transferred to Tororo town and was struggling to find a home while staying in a hotel. Over a meal at Friends Restaurant, the client asked for help finding a house and organizing his move. “I said, ‘Yeah, sure, I can help you get the house,’” Dante recalled. “He said, ‘But I’m so busy, I don’t have anyone… Do we have any moving companies around?’ I said, ‘No, no, no, don’t worry. We can do that.’” This experience inspired the company’s name, Fast Movers, reflecting the swift and efficient service provided.

The company funds itself through its operations, reinvesting profits to sustain and grow the business. “Every job that we get funds the business,” Dante explained. “The profits are divided, and some part goes to saving and some goes back to reinvest.”

Fast Movers leverages technology and media to reach potential clients, utilizing platforms like TikTok, Facebook, WhatsApp, and radio advertisements. “The role technology has played is it has given us more business than we ever thought,” Dante said. Dante acknowledged that some Ugandans view hiring relocation or cleaning services as unnecessary. “Some people see it as not so relevant to hire a relocation company,” he said. “But slowly, like you know, we are Africans, so the learning is gradual, and seeing is learning.” By consistently delivering exceptional service, Fast Movers is changing these perceptions.
One of the company’s proudest achievements is successfully handling long-distance relocations across northern and central Uganda. “That has been a very major milestone and big achievement to the company,” Dante said. Future Aspirations of the Fast Movers Incorporation
Looking ahead, Fast Movers aims to become the largest relocation and cleaning company in eastern Uganda within the next five to ten years, with plans to expand nationally and internationally. “I see Fast Movers as the biggest moving, relocation, and cleaning company in eastern Uganda, and majorly we want to cross borders,” Dante said. The company is also venturing into new areas, including petrol station renovations, painting projects, and even event planning for “party animals” through tours and travels.
Dante envisions Fast Movers as a major employer, providing job opportunities to uplift communities. “I see that company in the next ten to five being a great part of society where we’re able to provide jobs for those who need jobs,” he said. While the company currently operates independently, Dante is open to future partnerships and investments to fuel its growth.
