Why has Mudra Di Viral asked Pastor Bugingo to apologize?

Popular Ugandan singer Mudra Di Viral has demanded an apology from Pastor Aloysius Bugingo, the leader of the House of Prayer Church Ministries, for allegedly mocking Islamic prayers during a church service.

What does he say in the video?

In a video shared online, the “Balo Balo” hitmaker expressed his disappointment with Pastor Bugingo, calling his actions disrespectful to the Muslim community. Mudra urged the pastor to desist from mocking or playing with the practices of other religions, especially in front of a large congregation.

“As a Muslim, it deeply hurts me when someone mocks my religion,” Mudra said in the video. “A person of his stature should be setting an example of respect and tolerance, not sowing division among believers.”

The singer emphasized the importance of fostering peace and mutual respect among different faiths. He called on the government to intervene in cases where individuals publicly disrespect other religions, advocating for hospitality and harmony in the country.

Mudra concluded by urging Pastor Bugingo to issue a public apology to the Muslim community and to commit to promoting interfaith respect moving forward.
