South Africa’s hip-hop sensation Nasty C brings his Ivyson Tour to Uganda
Who is Nasty C?
Nasty C, born Nsikayesizwe David Junior Ngcobo on February 11, 1997, is a celebrated South African rapper, songwriter, and record producer. Hailing from Diepkloof, Soweto, and raised in Durban, KwaZulu-Natal, he began rapping at just nine years old, inspired by his older brother’s music production.
He rose to prominence through his early mixtapes, notably One Kid a Thousand Coffins (2013) and Price City (2015), before making waves with his breakout single “Juice Back.” His debut album Bad Hair (2016) and its follow-up Strings and Bling (2018) established him as one of Africa’s most talented hip-hop voices.
In 2020, he dropped Zulu Man with Some Power, an album that propelled him onto the global stage under Def Jam Recordings. Known for his sharp lyricism and ability to switch effortlessly between English and isiZulu, Nasty C has collaborated with international stars including T.I., Ari Lennox, and French Montana, solidifying his status as a continental icon.
Beyond music, he represents a new generation of African artists blending global influence with local identity — an artist who continues to redefine African hip-hop’s place in the world.

Where Will He Be Performing Today?
Nasty C will be performing tonight, November 7, 2025, at Motiv, Bugolobi, in Kampala, Uganda, as part of his ongoing Ivyson Tour.
The Kampala show doubles as the grand finale of the Aumex Conference 2025, a three-day creative industry event that has gathered regional and international music professionals for workshops, masterclasses, and networking.
Fans successfully unlocked the Kampala leg through a fan-engagement platform called TOORLY, where cities were added to the tour based on pre-orders. This innovative approach allowed Ugandan fans to directly influence the artist’s tour schedule — a first of its kind in the region.
Local artists including Echoled, City Girl, Expect Xhavi, Son of Aboda, Vini Mercy, Tungi, and DJ Tony are also set to perform, offering a powerful blend of Ugandan talent and international flair.
