The 72nd edition of the Miss World Festival is turning heads in Hyderabad, India—and among the dazzling displays of gowns, smiles, and global sisterhood, one story stands out with moving residence. Today, 26 May 2025, Uganda’s Natasha Nyonyozi has emerged as one of the winners of the Beauty With a Purpose (BWAP) award, a cornerstone of the Miss World competition, celebrating her humanitarian advocacy in autism awareness and social inclusion.
In a pageant known for its blend of beauty, intelligence, and altruism, Nyonyozi’s win is a proud moment for Uganda and a strong statement on the global stage.
A Crown of Compassion
Nyonyozi, who has captivated audiences with her poise and purpose, is being recognized for her project The Nyonyozi Initiative, which champions autism awareness in Uganda. Her mission is deeply personal and socially impactful, seeking to break stigmas, educate communities, and support families affected by autism.
In a competition where over 100 national representatives present their BWAP projects—initiatives aimed at improving lives through community-based development, education, and health programs—being named one of the winners is no small feat.

“I’m honored to be recognized for something so close to my heart,” Nyonyozi shared through the Miss World Organization. “This project is a tribute to every Ugandan child with autism who deserves understanding, respect, and inclusion.”
