Nesa Nita: Uganda’s Rising Star Shaking the Industry With Beauty, Brains & Boldness
“Look at me—aren’t I prettier and better than Ayra Starr or even Simi? I’m not just dreaming big—I’m working on becoming one of Africa’s hottest stars!”
In a music industry that demands more than just talent, Nesa Nita, a fast-rising Ugandan singer and songwriter, is steadily making her mark—proving that she’s not just a voice, but a whole brand in the making.
Having officially started her professional journey in early 2022, Nesa has worked with several notable producers and artists including Fyno Ug, ZZina Mu, Hallelujah, Kid Dee, Alvin Kizz, and many others. Her song “Kitwe” with Kid Dee is still making noise among Afrobeat lovers, while her vocal charm continues to win hearts with every release.
But as she rises, Nesa isn’t afraid to talk about the real struggles behind the scenes—especially for female artists in Uganda.
“Talent alone won’t get you to the top,” Nesa confesses. “You need PR, marketing, media play, and that all comes at a price. It’s expensive. If you don’t have the money or right support, you either get depressed or lose focus.”
She’s speaking for many—especially young women—trying to break through in an industry that often looks at image first before sound. And Nesa isn’t shy to say it as it is.
“To brand a female artist in Uganda is not for the broke,” she continues. “We need to look hot, smell fresh, rock good hair, wear designer clothes, show up ready for the camera. But where is the money coming from? We’re not even earning from our creatives the way we should.”
Despite the odds, Nesa remains ambitious, fierce, and fired up for the future. She dreams of working with producers like Nessim and Artin, and already has the support of industry professionals like Zyga Phix and Jowy Landa, who she describes as her musical backbone.
Her confidence? Unshakable. Her ambition? Continental.
“Look at me—aren’t I prettier and better than Ayra Starr or even Simi? I’m not just dreaming big—I’m working on becoming one of Africa’s hottest stars!”
Nesa Nita is not just another artist. She’s a symbol of resilience, confidence, and raw African talent. If Uganda is looking for its next big female export, she just might be it.
