Who is Peace Esther Olatunji?

Peace Esther Olatunji is a student who is also a hairstylist, content creator, and makeup artist. I got inspired by a fellow beauty creator on Instagram who won the Face of Local Government World 2023. I decided to embark on this journey after seeing her doing it and winning.

How does Peace Esther Olatunji define “beauty in essence”?

I see beauty in essence as something that goes beyond the physical beauty of a person but also the inner beauty of a person, more specifically their character. It relates to my vision in the sense that I’d really love to see people be more confident about themselves. Beauty goes way beyond physical beauty. But most times we overlook our inner beauty and try to make ourselves more physically beautiful.

What specific initiatives or projects do you plan to implement?

If I am elected as the Face of Local Government, I’d love to organize a giveaway on my Instagram page for small and upcoming beauty content creators. I know the journey is not easy, and I’d love to help out in my own little way.

How will she address local challenges?

I envision leveraging my platform to address local community challenges by using my platform to create awareness for the people of that community. Through this, attention can be drawn towards those challenges, and a solution will be created.

What sets Peace Esther Olatunji apart?

What sets me apart from the contestants is my personality. Everyone is unique and has different personalities. But I’ve discovered that my personality is quite unique and distinct.

Can you share a personal story or experience that shaped your decision to enter this contest?

I actually decided that I want to join this contest since last year. And I actually joined but wasn’t able to continue, but I was writing my exams then and I couldn’t balance the two. When I saw that the registration for this year is on, I said to myself I must join and nothing will be able to stop me this time. I plan to engage with and involve the local community in my initiatives. This will be possible by creating using my platform to give them a voice in society.

What Peace Esther Olatunji thinks about Pageants

In my opinion, beauty pageants should encourage contestants to know about their cultural heritage and also give them opportunities to share their initiatives or ideas on how they can promote development in their communities. Additionally, I plan to balance the aspects of beauty and substance by being myself all through this period and even afterwards.

Message from Peace Esther Olatunji

I would represent them with honor. It’s a privilege to represent them, and I’m not taking that privilege for granted. I’d love to bring the crown home as they continue to support me through this journey.

Toughest moments of your life

My toughest moment was when I was battling with social anxiety. I was so scared of people’s judgment that most times I kept to myself to avoid people from judging me. There were a lot of times I cried because it affected all areas of my life. I had low self-esteem because I felt like I wasn’t worthy enough. But I thank God for seeing me through that period in my life.

Biggest successes in your life

I know I’m just starting my journey, but my biggest success so far was hitting 1k followers on my Instagram page. I know it might look small, but to me, it means a lot. Unfortunately, I am not yet a fashion model, but I would really love to be one.

Where and to whom was Peace Esther Olatunji born?

I was born on the 17th of November, 2004. My parents are Pastor Abiodun Olatunji and Mrs. Funmilayo Olatunji. My dad’s a pastor while my mom works as a graphic designer.

What brands are you associated with?

Presently, I’m a campus brand ambassador for Mayore Beauty Nigeria, a makeup brand.
