The Confederation of African Football (CAF) has proudly introduced the stunning new trophy for the TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship (CHAN), PAMOJA 2024 Trophy. The high-profile reveal, featuring East African football legends Victor Wanyama (Kenya), Denis Onyango (Uganda), and Mrisho Ngasa (Tanzania), celebrated the tournament’s spirit of unity and regional pride.

  • Unity in Diversity: Encircling the trophy are 54 etched lines, each representing one of CAF’s member nations. At its heart lies a map of Africa, a powerful emblem of continental pride and solidarity.
  • PAMOJA Identity: The Swahili word “PAMOJA,” meaning “together,” is woven into the trophy’s design, celebrating the cultural depth and collaborative ethos of the tournament.

This masterpiece not only honors the champions but also serves as a timeless tribute to African football’s unity and ambition.


PAMOJA 2024: A Historic Tournament

The TotalEnergies CAF African Nations Championship, PAMOJA 2024, promises to be a landmark event in African football history.

  • Historic Co-Hosting: For the first time, CHAN will be jointly hosted by Kenya, Uganda, and Tanzania, showcasing East Africa’s hospitality and passion for football.
  • Rescheduled Dates: Originally planned for early 2025, the tournament has been rescheduled to 2–30 August 2025, providing additional preparation time and allowing the final qualifying rounds to conclude seamlessly.
  • World-Class Venues: Matches will be played across five iconic stadiums in the three countries. Key venues include Nairobi’s Kasarani Stadium, set to host the final, Dar es Salaam’s Benjamin Mkapa Stadium for the opening ceremony, and Uganda’s Mandela Stadium for the third-place match.
