On August 2, 2025, President William Ruto made a spirited visit to the Harambee Stars’ residential training camp in Kasarani, rallying the national football team with a series of generous financial incentives designed to drive their success in the upcoming tournament.

Historic Financial Incentives to Propel Harambee Stars’ Performance

Addressing the players and coaching staff, President Ruto unveiled a robust reward package to motivate the team to excel on the continental stage. Each player will receive Ksh 1 million for every match won and Ksh 500,000 for every draw, ensuring that every effort on the pitch is handsomely rewarded.

In a bold show of ambition, Ruto announced a staggering Ksh 600 million for the squad if they clinch the tournament title, underscoring his confidence in the team’s potential to make history.
