Purpose of the Event

The event was primarily organized to bring together former students under the theme “Know Your Roots.” Additionally, it was a constitutional requirement for the Chairperson to call for an AGM every year to facilitate discussions on matters concerning the old students.

Main Speakers and their Messages

The main speakers at the event were the Chairperson Okori Brian, the patron (Headmistress), and the Municipal Education Officer. Their speeches emphasized the importance of collaboration among old students to give back to the school. Chairperson Okori Brian expressed the old students’ willingness to work with all stakeholders to revive the glory of Rock High.

Words from Okori Brian

Chairperson Okori Brian thanked all the members who attended the meeting and expressed his gratitude to the school management for leading the school in the right direction. He stressed the need to increase subscription levels among members to enable RHOSA to effectively carry out its activities. Okori Brian pledged his support for all RHOSA initiatives and acknowledged the generosity of an old student who awarded scholarships to some students during the meeting. He also thanked everyone who attended the dinner held at Silver Springs Bugolobi.

Status of Rock High School

The school is gradually experiencing a revival, with a significant increase in student enrollment and ongoing infrastructural renovations. Additionally, academic performance has shown improvement compared to the previous year.

Student and Staff Feedback

The students were thrilled by the visit of the old students and requested them to come back to the school to offer career guidance and share their experiences during their time at Rock High School. On the other hand, the staff members were deeply impressed with the current leadership of RHOSA for returning and expressed their desire for continued support from the association.

Way Forward

During the meeting, the students’ association members agreed to amend their constitution to make it more effective and formed a five-member working committee to address this task. Furthermore, the members pledged to support the school by contributing to the construction of a perimeter wall around the campus.

Final Notes on table

RHOSA is committed to being a leading alumni association globally, under the capable leadership of Chairperson Okori Brian. The association remains dedicated to its mission of uniting former students and working together to enhance the development and progress of Rock High.
