Saad was a familiar presence at major public events, concerts, and social functions, where he consistently delivered striking imagery that captured the energy and emotion of each moment. The circumstances surrounding his death remain unclear at this time.

How did Saad Shots die on Good Friday?

Saad Shots died in a tragic motorcycle accident on Good Friday, 18 April 2025. Photos from the scene show his motorcycle badly damaged, with a broken rim and signs of a heavy impact, confirming the fatal crash. Just four days earlier, Saad had posted pictures of the same bike looking brand new, though it remains unclear whether he had just purchased it. He was riding it on Good Friday when the accident occurred, and he died on the spot. The fact that this happened on such a significant day has added an even heavier weight to the grief felt by those who knew and admired him.

A Legacy of Visual Excellence

Saad built a strong reputation in the creative industry through his dedication to photography and visual storytelling. He was especially admired for his ability to document lifestyle, music, and urban culture in Uganda with both artistry and authenticity. His portfolio showcased a dynamic range of work—from behind-the-scenes shots at concerts to intimate portraits and vibrant cityscapes.

We also learned that he also mentored young creatives and collaborated with professionals across media and entertainment. His work went beyond the camera—he encouraged others to pursue their creative passions and to find power in everyday moments.

A Community in Mourning

Following the announcement of his death, tributes have continued to flood social media. Influential personalities, journalists, artists, and members of the public have expressed grief and shared memories of a man described as warm, professional, and deeply passionate about his craft. Many recalled his generous spirit and his talent for capturing moments that others might overlook.

Honouring a Creative Life

While funeral arrangements are yet to be confirmed, Saad’s contribution to Uganda’s creative landscape will not be forgotten. His photographs told stories that connected people and gave voice to experiences often left undocumented. He leaves behind a legacy of art, truth, and inspiration.

Saad Shots will be remembered not just for his imagery, but for the energy, kindness, and vision he brought to every project he touched.

May he rest in peace.
