According to an official statement from the Uganda Police Force, the decision to halt the event on January 23, 2025, was made in the interest of public safety. However, a meeting between a joint security team, event organizers, and venue managers took place on January 24 to reassess the situation and ensure adherence to recommended safety measures.

Following the discussions, authorities have allowed the event to continue as planned. However, the police have strictly prohibited the use of the pavilion, citing structural concerns that pose a risk to revelers. The Uganda Police Force has urged attendees to comply with the safety guidelines to ensure a smooth and secure event. The organizers are also expected to work closely with security teams to prevent any incidents during the concert.

This development comes amidst growing concerns about safety at entertainment venues in Uganda, with authorities emphasizing the need for strict adherence to safety protocols to prevent accidents.
