Youth Vibe Media is a youth-focused digital platform dedicated to empowering Youths to express themselves, showcase their talents, and build a strong digital presence for their schools and communities. “ Vibe” in Youth Vibe Media should be interpreted as energy, atmosphere, or cultural expression.

In a world where youths are referred to as the ‘ dot com ‘ youths , who spend most of their time on Internet, it’s only fitting more platforms that connect them via this space come on board. Platforms that can channel the time youths spend online to something positive.

At the time of writing this article, Youth Vibe Media mainly operates on the following digital platforms : YouTube with over 4,600 Subscribers, Tik Tok with over 35,000 Followers, Facebook with over 2,000 followers and finally Instagram with 160 followers.
Who Founded Youth Vibe Media?
Youth Vibe Media ( YVM ) was founded by Mayende Collins Israel, a teacher of English Language and Literature in English as well as Writer and Vice President of Right for Education Uganda Chapter. This was in the year 2022 but by then it was named RASS TV and was more of like a project of the Writers Club of Rubongi Army SS Tororo . It’s activities mainly included Debate, talk shows , interviews and Music, Dance and Drama.

By 2025, RASS TV was renamed to Youth Vibe Media so as to not only focus on Rubongi Army SS students but bring in students from other schools as well as the Communities. The main aim being to create engaging content that informs, educates, and entertains the youth all over with a Motto: Create. Inspire. Impact.
YVM evolved from RASS TV to become a broader platform focused on youth empowerment, digital literacy, and storytelling. It provides a space for young voices to shape conversations, showcase talents, and inspire meaningful change.
What Activities Does Youth Vibe Media Do ?
YVM mainly carries out activities related to youths both in schools and communities. These include activities like talk shows, interviews , entertainment, poetry, debate, sports , scouting, music, dance and drama among others. The goal is to provide a platform where youths can express themselves, inspiring and impacting others out there.

As if not enough, a number of events involving youths have been captured and published on YVM. Some of them include: Debate competitions such as Battle of Minds in Iganga, National Debate Council Elgon Region, UNSA Tororo and Busia Debates, Uganda Secondary School Sports Association ( USSSA ) activities, scouts , promoting young promising artists online and connecting them with the right people in the industry.
Some of the notable interviews and talk shows have been held with students from Busitema University, Rubongi Army SS Tororo, Rubongi SS, Asinge SS, St Peters College Tororo among others . The young enthusiastic students shared their views on topics like science vs arts pay in Uganda, abortion , the new curriculum in Uganda among others.
YVM has worked with young artists like Gift Risa, Jerry Music, Shine Star UG, Chris Akon Madder, Wipa Music, Peter Krim, Konshus UG, Gregz Ken, Da vim Official, De Bender Echoes, Blessing Wisdom, Trezy Ranks, Tasha Jojo now known as Tasha Mellon, Allan Kayz, Pheel Ecstasy, Big Bro Da Orchie Bartz, Star Kid Rap Buffalo, Philp Con among others . YVM is also associated with Producer Drigo , DJ Faustine of T FM Radio Station Tororo, DJ Jones of UBC and MCs like MC VVIP and MC Kuls among others.
