It has come to public light that famous amazing American-Mexican singer Selena Gomez is again releasing a whole new album this year.
Well, we’ve heard from Taylor Swift release two albums within one year-2020 and it looks like she’s not regretting as she is receiving millions of streams on different platforms especially Spotify.
Let’s come back to our original topic.
Selena Gomez has announced that she will be dropping a Spanish-Language EP, the first of its kind.
Why has Selena switched to Spanish music?
The currently jolly singer seems to have gotten over her ex Justin Bieber who also seems to be recording new music according to his pictures on Facebook lately. Well, Justin is a story for another day!
Selena reveals that Spanish is her heritage and she recently referred to her tweet from 2011 where she seems to have promised a Spanish album about her captions “I think it’s worth the wait.” Selena says that she has always loved Spanish and it is part of her.
“I am very excited to sing in a new language especially at this time of the world because people need to be united. You can see division everywhere, right? Music speaks a certain language to our souls!”, revealed Selena Gomez in one exclusive interview.
She went ahead and Shared a Video for the New Song “Baila Conmigo” which apparently will be part of the upcoming REVELACIÓN EP on 12th March.
The new video was dropped earlier today and it follows the most recent “De Una Vez” directed by Brazilian filmmaker Fernando Nogari, Selena Gomez last released a Spanish song 10 years ago and English fans are excited too.
According to Selena, the visual for the song was filmed between Los Angeles, Miami, and a remote fishing village in Brazil.
We saw her on an international channel say, “With ‘Baila Conmigo,’ I want to get everyone dancing,” Gomez said in a press release. “The video portrays the sense of isolation we all are experiencing right now and how music truly does connect us all no matter where we are in the world.”
I personally haven’t checked it out (smirks), but most definitely I have to taste this new genre the Same Old Love diva is trying to bring up.
Just for the record, Selena was really traumatized last year as she compiled her Rare Album as it was entirely about the heartbreak she had experienced. She has dated a number of prominent dudes including The Weeknd, Zayn and obviously Justin Bieber and this is evident in her Boyfriend song from the previous album.
Is Selena collaborating with Zayn?
Well, it hasn’t been confirmed yet but it has been all over social media that Selena Gomez is likely to feature the Pillow talk star soon or vice versa.
“It was a really interesting song for me to work on with Selena since it fuses an authentic reggaeton sound with elements like the plucked electric guitar that lean more pop. Rauw’s melodies captured that essence and complemented Selena’s very well. I’m excited for this one!”, said Producer Tainy.
“The fact an artist of Selena’s caliber considered me to collaborate on her project is a blessing,” said Rauw Alejandro. “‘Baila Conmigo’ is super catchy and sexy. I hope fans love this collaboration as much as I do.”
Other artists teasing for new music include Rita Ora, Ed Sheeran, Zara Larsson, and others. We have to keep our fingers crossed (wink)!
