In a momentous event that took place on 30th July 2023, Phaneroo Ministries International, a vibrant born-again church based in Kampala, Uganda, broke the Guinness World Record for the longest applause! The Clap for Jesus session lasted a whooping 3 hours and 20 extra minutes. With unwavering determination and unyielding faith, the congregation embarked on a three-hour non-stop hand-clapping session, aptly named “Clap for Jesus,” and successfully etched Uganda’s name in the prestigious Guinness World Records.

The event was honored in all Manifest centers around the world, not only among the Lugogo, Kampala congregants. Followers of the church were participating both physically and online with some even clapping using their legs. The sound of the handclaps was so loud that it was able to hit peaks of 90 dB.

In case you don’t get it, 90 decibels is a high noise level, equivalent to the sound level of a concert. Compared to 80 dB, 90 dB is 10 times more intense and twice as loud. Whenever you are exposed to this noise level, you should wear hearing protection.

Who holds the longest applause or handclapping session as a Guinness World Record?

The Guinness World Record for the longest applause is currently held by Phaneroo Ministries Kampala where congregants clapped for 3 hours and 20 minutes on Sunday, 30 July 2023. It was previously held at 2 hours and 5 minutes but was surpassed today as Phaneroo followers created an awe-inspiring atmosphere filled with love, unity, and celebration. The record-breaking handclap is not only a remarkable achievement for the church and its devoted followers but also a profound expression of gratitude to God for guiding Phaneroo Ministries International through an incredible 9-year journey.

Why did Phaneroo Hold The Handclapping session?

Pastor Rohi Bright, one of the leaders, shared his heartfelt vision for this historic event during a press briefing held earlier today at the Phaneroo Ministries International’s headquarters in Kampala. “The hand-clapping session was not merely about breaking a world record but was a powerful manifestation of love and reverence towards their Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ,” he emphasized.

“The applause session is also aimed at thanking God for their 9-year milestone as a ministry,” said Pastor Rohi.

How The Guinness World Record at Phaneroo Was Observed
