Brass for Africa Races for Equality
In a bid to transform lives of over 300 children and young people in Uganda, Brass for Africa’s Pearl Riders embarked on a tough journey that can only be started by one with passion for the cause.
As the old adage goes, “a journey of a thousand miles starts with a step”, just like multiples races, the Race for Equality race was one of a kind. From Nakivale Refugee Settlement to the Brass for Africa Headquarters, the riders went.
Race for Equality aims at fundraising £75,000 inorder to provide for 300 children and young people an entire year of access to the Brass for Africa equality Programme. Just like every drop of water in a jar counts, so does one’s contribution to this great cause.

In a bid to change the narrative in the lives of people living with disabilities, Brass for Africa appreciates the very existence of individuals living with disabilities through inclusive music Programmes.
The race was not a mere speculation as some may assume, but rather, it was a fight for inclusion and equality. Every hill climbed and sweat that dropped was for a just cause with tangible evidence. Statistics emanating from the Brass for Africa 2024 Health Report elucidate a 35% increase in autism awareness. This shows that there has been a greater understanding and acceptance of neurological disorders.

Race for Equality is not just a race, it is hope brought to life.
With the resounding slogan “WE ARE ONE”, Brass for Africa continuously brings hope to the young people and children who might have lost hope in life.
