On December 10 and 11, 2022 Alchemy of Souls Season Two was kicked off. Two episodes were released. One on Saturday 10 and the other on Sunday 11.
For those who are hearing about this K-drama series for the first time, fear not, I got you covered. Alchemy of Souls is filled with love , fantasy and drama.It is set in the fictional country of Daeho . Mages ( magicians ) are depicted as people with abilities to master several spells that exist between Heaven and Earth. The series is centred on the life of Jang UK ( Lee Jae Wook ) , the lead character.
What’s new in Alchemy of Souls Season Two?
Alchemy of Souls : Light and Shadow is the second season of the popular series that first aired on June 18 , 2022. The first season ended in August of the same year.Coming as a surprise, the second season was released on December 10 with the first episode followed by another on December 11.

According to the available two episodes at hand ,the story happens three years after the events of the final episode of season one.In this final episode of season one , we see Jang UK stabbed in the heart by his lover Naksu.
We learn in the first episode of season two that Jang UK didn’t die .The power of the Ice Stone keeps him alive. He is now a warrior who hunts Soul- shifters . The ice stone’s incredible powers are being wielded by UK despite the fact that he has no peace especially at night. It’s a burden to go him.
In addition,it is revealed that Naksu died .At least this is what the general Daeho populace knows.However, we later learn that Bu-yeon , the eldest daughter of the Job Family is actually having Naksu’s soul.The body is for Bu-yeon but the soul belongs to Naksu.

Basing on the first two episodes released, there have been positive reviews from both viewers and critics. The ratings at My Dramalist indicate a 8.9/10 rating from 1640 users.
Alchemy of Souls Season Two will be aired every weekend for five consecutive weeks. The final episode is currently scheduled for January 8 , 2022.
