Uganda’s entertainment scene is set for one of its biggest nights yet as celebrated comedian and event host Alex Muhangi prepares to stage the 10th anniversary edition of Comedy Store @10, a show that has grown into one of East Africa’s most influential entertainment platforms.
Dubbed Comedy Store @10, the highly anticipated event will take place on June 5, 2026, at Lugogo Cricket Oval in Kampala, bringing together a star-studded lineup of musicians, comedians and performers from across the region.
Over the past decade, Comedy Store has evolved from a local comedy showcase into a cultural phenomenon that has consistently promoted Ugandan comedy, music and creative talent. The anniversary edition is expected to reflect that journey with an explosive celebration of entertainment, laughter and live performances.
Which Regional Stars Will Headline the Comedy Store @10 Celebration?
It is revealed that the impressive lineup headlined by Tanzanian music superstar Diamond Platnumz, Kenyan comedian Eric Omondi and Ugandan singer The Ben.
They will be joined by some of Uganda’s leading entertainers including Spice Diana, Lydia Jazmine, Fik Fameica, Winnie Nwagi, John Blaq, Gloria Bugie and rising duo Kataleya & Kandle. Comedy lovers are also expected to enjoy performances from top comedians such as Salvador, Dr Hilary Okello, Bizonto, Mad Rat & Chiko, Madrat and Chiko, Sammie & Shawa and many others who have played key roles in shaping Comedy Store over the years.
The event will be hosted by Kalela and Bree, with gates scheduled to open at 2PM.
How Has Alex Muhangi Changed Uganda’s Comedy Industry?
Alex Muhangi is widely credited for transforming stand-up comedy into a commercially successful entertainment business in Uganda. Through Comedy Store, Muhangi created a platform that consistently gave exposure to upcoming comedians, musicians and content creators while also attracting major regional celebrities to Kampala.
The show’s growth over the years has helped bridge comedy and mainstream music entertainment, making it one of the most attended weekly social events in the country. - VIP entry at UGX 100,000
