When was the launch of the Miss Uganda 2025 Search?
Yesterday, 11 June 2025, Sheraton Hotel, Kampala hosted the grand launch of Miss Uganda 2025 Search, unveiling a refreshed vision for the pageant centered around social impact and nationwide inclusivity. In recognition of its growing influence, partners, past queens, advocates, and media sponsors gathered to celebrate and support the upcoming search.

Reigniting the “Beauty With a Purpose” Legacy
Uganda’s triumph at the recent Miss World 2025—where Natasha Nyonyozi, Miss Uganda 2024/25, became the first Ugandan to win the esteemed “Beauty With a Purpose” award—added invaluable momentum to this year’s launch. Natasha’s established advocacy for autism awareness received renewed support and set a high bar for future participants.
Natasha addressed the crowd, stating:
“I am so happy to represent Uganda at a global level, and I’m glad I was able to promote autism awareness worldwide.”
Her words underscored the message that Miss Uganda is not just a spectacle, but serves as a potent vehicle for social change.

Strengthening Enduring Collaborations
Representatives from longstanding partners took to the stage to reiterate their commitment. Reach A Hand Uganda (RAHU) was symbolically represented by Mark Kayizzi, receiving its gratitude from multiple speakers.
Esther Nalumansi Kironde, Miss Multimedia 2024 (Mityana district), was also present—a notable attendee whose advocacy around menstrual health and youth empowerment has maintained her strong influence since the 2024 reign.
In a heartfelt moment, Brenda Nanyonjo, often known as “Mama B,” reflected on Miss Uganda’s foundation:
“This partnership with RAHU started 14 years ago, when Humphrey Nabimanya founded Reach A Hand Uganda around the exact time we received our Miss World license. We’ve been growing ever since.”
Brenda went further, acknowledging major sponsors like BuyPuth Furniture, YouHome Uganda, Unilever, Entikko Safari Lodge, Paraa Safari Lodge, Kira Motors, NRG Radio, Sheraton Kampala, Print Creations, Galaxy FM, Kampala Edge Times, and more, highlighting their vital roles in cultivating contestant careers beyond the stage.
Media Partners: Expanding Reach and Engagement of Miss Uganda 2025 Search
A significant highlight was the address by Ken Kazooba, CEO of Startimes Uganda, revealing an expansive media strategy for the pageant’s coverage:
“This exercise is extremely expensive and cannot happen without sponsors—especially fellow media houses. This year, we shall not go to the regions—the regions will come to us.”
Startimes will broadcast regional selections through Makula Kika, airing every Friday, Saturday, and Sunday from 27 June. The regional auditions, inclusive of West Nile, Northern, Eastern, and Western Uganda, will all be hosted in Kampala with national broadcast reach.
Media partners such as NRG Radio, represented by Kevin (Director), offered their congratulations and support, particularly crediting Natasha’s global win and reinforcing the importance of broadcasting Miss Uganda’s journey.
